Restrictive Factors
If the boat is unable to start the trip for any of the following reasons, there will be no charge, we will try and fit you in on an alternative day
Visibility
Although the boat is equipped with GPS, fog, sea mist, heavy rain or haze can take the edge off any trip. The decision to go will always be at the discretion of the Skipper.
Sea State
The boat is capable of operating safely in a force 5, although definitely not recommended. Up to force 3 is comfortable and thus is the bench mark, the metrological report containing the sea state is posted daily by the Harbour Master at the Capitainerie.
Day Light
Operational hours are sunrise to sunset.
Gate Opening Times
I will explain this in layman terms. The boat can only get in and out of the marina whilst the gate is open. The gate does not open at set times every day as high tide occurs at a slightly different time each day. Therefore trip times may have early starts or late finishes and sometime they are just right. The gate opening times are also posted at the Capitainerie.
In Summary, any or all of the above can be prohibitive. So if you want to get out on the water and it is a clear day and a force 1 and the sun is shining and the gate opens at 10am, cancel that sightseeing excursion you had planned and enjoy a trip out on Evasion.
